At NuLu Scooters, we have a variety of scooter sizes and styles to match just about every rider. When you visit NuLu Scooters, we'll first take some time to get to know you and what you want from your scooter. Is this your first scooter? Will you be riding every day or occasionally on the weekends? Do you plan to ride with others? Will you be riding in all types of weather? All this information helps us help you choose the scooter that fits you best.

The first decision the rider must make is the size of the engine. Scooters are available from 49cc and up. The smaller engine, 49cc scooters are extremely popular because the cost of ownership is so low and no special motorcycle license is required to operate the vehicle. (This is true in most states, including Kentucky and Indiana. If you plan to drive your scooter elsewhere, check the local authorities for their rules.) They are not required to be licensed with the DMV, so insurance coverage is optional. Basically, the cost of the scooter is the only expense required to drive it out of the showroom.

At NuLu Scooters, we offer a variety of 49cc scooters ranging in price from the $899 entry-level moped to the more robust Cali Classic 49 cc starting at $1699.

These economical 49 cc scooters are designed to go about 30 miles per hour. They are perfect for quick trips, short commutes and city streets. If you need to travel faster than that, or, you just want a little more power to better handle the hills, a larger engine will be worth the small investment.
